Shephard Management Group in Browns Summit is a technical consultation firm providing director-level leadership, quality management, safety, welding, NDT, and process improvement services for small manufacturers within a practical driving radius. Led by President Robert Shephard, who brings over 22 years of hands-on manufacturing leadership, we operate on transparency and candid communication so owners, plant managers, and teams understand what is happening, why it matters, and how it improves performance.
Shephard Management Group launched in September 2024 after Robert's first layoff in a 22-year career. That moment clarified a simple truth, smaller manufacturers deserve the same caliber of leadership as large corporations, without the six-figure payroll burden. We built a subscription-based, fractional director model so owners can access seasoned guidance in quality, safety, welding, NDT, and process improvement while keeping costs predictable and scaling engagement as their business grows and matures.
Our experience is reinforced by recognized credentials and proven outcomes. We hold Certified Welding Inspector and Certified Welding Educator credentials through American Welding Society, OSHA safety trainings, and affiliations with American Welding Society, Vistage, and Toastmasters International. Our network represents more than 70 years of combined quality and leadership experience, with a track record that includes AS9100 certification in ten months, AISC certification in roughly one and a half years, and processes sustaining 400 percent revenue growth.
We communicate candidly so you always know what is happening and why.
We build long-term relationships that align leadership, programs, and growth.
We focus on measurable gains in safety, quality, throughput, and contract readiness.
